“Breastfeeding is an art & Lactation is a science. Feeding success is like a dance between being creative and following the rules.” ~The Milk Whisperer
Welcome! I am a Certified Lactation Educator and Counselor servicing the greater Los Angeles area. Breastfeeding can often be a process for both mama and baby (read more about my personal story here). I believe proper education, preparation and support are essential ingredients for breastfeeding success. I offer the following classes & consultations to help families achieve their breastfeeding goals!
I provide private classes for mothers and couples in a comfortable and relaxed environment in my home. My goal is to give you confidence in your ability to breastfeed your baby through practical knowledge and information, techniques, personal experience and trusting your intuition.
Birth doulas, postpartum doulas and birth professionals will expand their current knowledge by learning new information, techniques and insights to better support their doula families, patients and clients. This class also meets doula certification requirements.
I offer private consultations in the hospital, birth center, comfort of your own home, or at my practice in Studio City. Consultations are also available via a phone call or email.
This private 90 minute in-person consultation is customized for mothers who are returning to work or school and plan to pump and provide breast milk for their babies while separated.
“Lacey’s personal history gave her the drive to fully understand and become an expert in the art of breastfeeding. Now she’s educating others so that they may have positive experiences. Her style of teaching was personal, patient and gentle while providing practical, current and evidence-based information. She makes herself available 24/7 to students and mothers alike for questions and support which I find invaluable as a Doula. Thank you Lacey.”Maggie Ehrig, Birth Doula
“I really enjoyed the breastfeeding class I took with Lacey. She made it fun! She is articulate and very knowledgeable about all things breastfeeding.”Tasha Boyd, Birth Doula
